AstroCalling ("we", "our", "us") operates the website tryastrocalling.com and provides a one-time, paid personalised astrological report (the "Life Blueprint"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under Indian law, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
The short version: we collect the birth details you voluntarily enter to generate your report, and an email address to deliver it. We do not sell your data. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see your card number. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Full name — used to compute numerology values (destiny, soul urge, personality numbers).
- Date of birth — required to calculate your life path number and natal chart.
- Time of birth — optional, used to compute rising sign and house placements.
- Place of birth — required to calculate planetary positions relative to your birth location.
- Email address — used to send you a secure link to your PDF Life Blueprint and transactional emails about your order.
Information we collect automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps, used for security, fraud prevention, and service performance.
- Usage data — aggregated, non-identifying page views and interaction counts used to improve the product.
Payment information
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay Software Private Limited. Your card, bank, UPI or wallet details are entered directly on Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant systems. We receive only a transaction reference and status (success / failure) — we never store your card number or CVV.
2. How we use your information
- To compute and generate your personalised Life Blueprint PDF.
- To deliver your report via email and provide customer support.
- To process payments and issue invoices or refunds where applicable.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable law.
- To communicate essential service updates (we do not send marketing emails unless you opt in).
3. Legal basis (GDPR / DPDP Act)
- Contract — processing your birth details is necessary to deliver the service you purchased.
- Legal obligation — retaining transaction records for tax and audit requirements under Indian law.
- Legitimate interest — keeping the service secure and improving it in aggregate.
- Consent — for any optional marketing you explicitly opt in to.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the service providers strictly needed to run AstroCalling:
- Razorpay — for payment processing.
- Email service provider — for transactional email delivery.
- Cloud hosting provider — to host the website and store report generation data securely.
- Legal authorities — only when required by a valid legal process.
Each provider is contractually bound to process your data only on our instructions and in compliance with applicable law.
5. Data retention
Your birth details are retained only as long as needed to generate and re-send your Life Blueprint on request, and to provide customer support. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7). Transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with Indian tax and accounting laws.
6. Security
We use 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption in transit for all data submitted through the site. Birth details are stored encrypted at rest. Access to personal data within AstroCalling is strictly limited to staff who need it to operate the service, and is logged. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we use industry-standard safeguards and will notify you of any verified data breach affecting your personal information in accordance with applicable law.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated details.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten") subject to retention obligations above.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

8. Cookies
AstroCalling uses only essential cookies required for the site to function (for example, to remember your form progress and to route payment callbacks). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break parts of the checkout flow.
9. Children's privacy
AstroCalling is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. International transfers
AstroCalling is operated from India. Some of our service providers may process data in other jurisdictions (for example, the United States or the European Union). Where this happens we ensure adequate safeguards are in place through standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect.
